The acceleration program will give businesses the same access to resources as an incubation programme; however, the arrangement would be different. Instead of CSC/LSC or HS Group or a 3rd party given the business an idea to work on, CSC/LSC, HS Group or a 3rd party would instead sponsor the acceleration program, and in return get part of equity in the business – typically between 5% and 10% depending on the size of the business when it entered the program vs. when it exits the program.
A member of the acceleration program will get the same facilities as a member of the incubation program, with the difference of change in focus. Whereas, incubated businesses would focus more on entrepreneurship training and business model development, assistance from the accelerator to members would focus more on business development, raising investment and finding an exit.
